Shamal Saib was born in 1931 city of Suleimaniyahi in the Iraqi Kurdistan, He showed a talent for singing at an early age . He recorded many songs in the Kurdish section of the Baghdad Broadcasting Station in the 1950 -1960 's also in the Kurdish television section when he was studying in Baghdad university. He was very popular singer, Shamal Saib was in the 1960's in USA for study and he also was married wit the Americans, Saib had one son but his wife refuse to go with hem and live in South Kurdistan. He let his wife and his only son behind in USA, Saib was teacher in the saladin university in Arbil till the last day of his life died in November 8, 1986 in the city of Suleimaniyahi, and was buried in his native city Suleimaniyahi in the (Gardy Sywan).
